You’ll also want to try our venison sausage and jerky made by Michigan Meat Processing - really delicious! Jerky is a great snack to take along on your outdoor adventures, either on the water or in the wilderness.
Where to fish? Lake Superior! You can catch Coho and Chinook Salmon, Whitefish, Rainbow or Brook Trout, and Lake Trout. The tackle shop is located right near the marina on the Ontonagon River, which brings you right out to the big lake.

Greig's Taxidermy Studio and Alpine Archery Pro Shop
Larry has 21 years of experience in taxidermy and specializes in whitetail deer mounts. The Alpine Archery Pro Shop is located in his taxidermy studio at 35742 Highway US-45 in Ontonagon.

If you’re interested in bear hunting, Larry also offers guided bear hunts in the Ottawa National Forest and other spots in Ontonagon County. Call to set up a unique hunting experience now.
For information on charter fishing in Lake Superior, on the Ontonagon River, or on one of the plentiful inland lakes and streams, just ask Larry. There are lots of great fishing spots in the Porcupine Mountains and the Ottawa National Forest.
Even if you don‘t have a boat, there are plenty of fishing opportunities. Fish the Ontonagon River from the railroad bridge, the pier, and at the Ontonagon Marina. The Union Bay shoreline is a great place to fish from shore. Small spoons will get you lake trout or salmon.
